Trade Winds Farm is a privately owned equestrian training, breeding and rehabilitation center. Located on 60+ lush acres, overlooking the Mohawk River, Trade Winds Farm was built in 2001 with the intention of creating a world class venue with state of the art equipment to serve as a horse haven. The 40,000 sq ft farm is equipped with the most innovative equipment and products to ensure the horses will only have the best accommodations and treatment. Trade Winds Farm is proud to hold a reputation of producing and maintaining happy, healthy horses.
Trade Winds Farm holds 24 large matted 15×14 foot stalls. Our stalls are cleaned several times daily, provided with ample bedding, fans and functioning windows to promote the horse’s total comfort. Our facility includes 4 foaling stalls, complete with video cameras and a light cycle system to stimulate the mare’s reproductive cycle.
Our horses are trained in a 39,000 square foot outdoor arena. Our outdoor, which boasts measurements of 140×280 feet contains all-weather sand footing which is manicured daily.
The facilities include outdoor wash stalls as well as heated indoor wash stalls with hot and cold water.
Large heated tack rooms with built storage, washer & dryer and an ice machine.

The facility includes a spacious, 15,000 square foot indoor, with dimensions of 80x185ft. The indoor arena is complete with natural lighting, climate control systems, an irrigation system as well as a viewing room to accommodate spectators.
Our horses enjoy spending time getting exercise in the Odyssey Performance Horse Exerciser. Our walker accommodates up to 6 horses at a time, with protection from the elements and footing manicured by hand daily.
Daily turnout is vital to a horse’s physical and mental well-being. Our facilities boast several large, grass paddocks for the horses to enjoy either group or solo pasture time.
